No separation of powers here. Gen Musharraf (re)wrote the consitution. Since he did that, isn’t it fair that he has the final say as to its interpretation?

True democracy, indeed.
â€œI completely believe in the supremacy of parliament and stability of democratic institutions, and completion of legitimate five-year tenure by existing assemblies will be ample proof that I champion democracy,â€ he said. [DT]
