Musharraf’s real democracy

The leader of the Pakistan’s Alliance for Restoration of Democracy, Javed Hashmi was arrested and beaten up after being accused of defaming the Army.

This is an archived blog post from The Acorn.

While it does not bode well for democracy, the seriousness with which the junta treated this case seems to suggest that there is some truth in persistent reports that Musharraf is facing a mutiny from within.

This only means that any peace initiatives this disposition may agree to may not be honoured by its successors.
