Wagah spectacle to change

The exaggerated drill movements that accompany the lowering of flags at the India-Pakistan border are to be toned down to something more civil. Its about time this monstrosity of a tourist attraction was done away with.

This ridiculous ritual achieved nothing. It did become a tourist attraction, but only of the sort of sundry Ghauri missiles and fibre-glass scale models of nuclear tests that decorate public squares in many Pakistani cities.
