The images from Abu Ghraib have dealt a huge blow to America’s reputation; with repercussions on the war on terror that will be felt for years to come.

And the best George W. Bush could do was to give Donald Rumsfeld a scolding? Telling Rumsfeld that he has been a bad boy is not going to do anything to repair the damage done. Donald Rumsfeld has to go.

Questions are already being asked if the prisoners in Guantanamo Bay are being treated similarly. Whatever the case may be, it is likely that America’s guilty conscience from Iraq will swing the pendulum in favour of a overly nice treatment of hardcore al Qaeda prisoners interned there.
